Our normal Thursday bike night was busy again tonight.  Everyone from our group was out tonight.  While we were waiting for our burgers to be done, Jim brought up the fact that the Easyrider Festival was coming up.  In fact it was starting today.  As luck would have it I wasn't scheduled to work this Saturday.  We all agreed that Saturday would be the better day to go.  There wasn't much to discuss after that.  Everyone wanted to go and was available to go.  We planned to meet at Mike and Linda's house again since Fowlerville was south of Flint.  Some of us would meet at Scott's again, since it was close to us, and ride to Mike and Linda's together.

Friday was a very long day for me.  I kept thinking about the ride and the excitement that Saturday would bring.  When Saturday arrived I was not ready to get up but knowing what I had in store for the day I got moving rather quickly.  We needed to be at Scott's by 8:00am to meet part of our group and gas up.  We arrived early and again were the last to arrive.  In and out quickly, we were on our way.

Mike and Linda were ready when we arrived as was everyone else.  Stacey was sitting on her Sportster clearly eager to ride.  We had decided not to take US-23 as it tends to have more traffic issues.  Instead we choose to take I-69 out towards Bancroft and more country route down to Fowlerville.  We arrived around 10:30 and things were just getting going but the place was busy already.  Once we had checked in we debated going to grab breakfast.

In town there was a great little breakfast spot called the Olden Days Cafe.  The food was amazing and fast.  I hardly had time to touch my coffee and they were bringing out our food.  Everything was perfect and so good.  I told the waitress to put the bill all on one, I was springing for breakfast.  The biggest shock was when they brought the bill and it was so cheap.  I couldn't believe that we all managed to eat at such a low cost.  I left a huge tip and we were on our way back to the event.

Once we parked our bikes we discussed what time we would be leaving in case we got separated later.  We decided that we would head home no later than 11:00pm since it was a 2 hour ride.  There was so much to see and so many really cool bikes.  This is an event you have to see to fully appreciate.  There are so many motorcycles of every make and model to see and so many things to see and do.  There were vendors all over and a stage for live music.  We all had things we wanted to see and/or participate in.

The girls and I visited some of the vendors and found a few things we had to have.  The guys wandered through the bikes that were on display.  We watched some of the rodeo events and after eating dinner found a spot to chill and watch the band.  The entire day went so fast I couldn't believe the sun was already setting.  Around 10:00pm we decided to head back towards Flint and stop in at Scooters before heading home.

We didn't stay long at Scooters because it was so busy we could only find a table out on the patio.  I still think we were all just spent from getting up so early and being out in the sun and fresh air all day.  It was an easy and uneventful ride home and I was happy to be in my bed.  I started to ask my husband about some of the events we saw today and was answered by snores.  Another fun day had come to a close.
